The Bill of Rights Celebration, the ACLU of Utah's annual fundraising dinner, will be held on Saturday, May 16, 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., at the Salt Palace Convention Center in downtown Salt Lake. We expect at least 700 people to attend - and we need dozens of responsible, friendly and committed volunteers to make sure the evening is a success!
We need volunteers to fill the following roles:
- Registration: check in event attendees and process day-of ticket purchases with the help of ACLU staff.
- Table Escorts: help event guests find their seats during the Celebration.
- Donation Collection: at the end of the evening, assist with the collection of donations made by dinner guests.
- Set-Up/Tear-Down: distribute programs and signs to tables before the Celebration begins; help to collect materials at the end of the night.
- Invitation Mailing (Pre-Event): approximately six weeks before the event, join with a group of volunteers to stuff, seal, address and mail invitations to the Celebration.
Volunteering will be a ton of fun - especially if you can recruit a friend or two to serve with you! All event volunteers will be asked to attend a short pre-event orientation (time and date to be determined). This orientation is mandatory for volunteers who wish to volunteer the night of the Celebration.
To become a volunteer, please email Development Director Anna Brower at abrower@acluutah.org and include the following information:
your name, your primary contact telephone number, your email address, your mailing address and your availability (night of the event only, or pre-event mailings).
