Get an insider's look at the decade past and the decade ahead for the nation's oldest and most significant civil liberties organization.

Budget realities, the structure of the Supreme Court, the impact of the Obama Presidency...what challenges and victories will the ACLU see in 2010 and beyond?

There will be plenty of time for questions - and show up early for a chance to meet Susan Herman, the ACLU's new national board president!

Tickets are just $50 each and proceeds support the work of the ACLU of Utah.

Susan Herman, who holds a chair as Centennial Professor of Law at the Brooklyn School of Law, was elected President of the Board of the national ACLU in October 2008. Professor Herman has participated in Supreme Court litigation, writing and collaborating on amicus curiae briefs for the ACLU on a range of constitutional criminal procedure issues. She has appeared on NPR, PBS, NBC, CSPAN and MSNBC, and has written articles for the New York Times and Newsday.

A table for six can be purchased for just $300. For $500, you can join our "Circle of Champions," with priority seating for up to eight guests, at table close to Professor Herman, and with recognition for your generosity on signs at the luncheon.

You won't want to miss this rare opportunity to chat with the ACLU's president in a friendly, intimate setting - particularly as the ACLU prepares to weather serious economic challenges and political unknowns in 2010.

You can purchase your tickets on-line at www.acluutah.org or contact Development Director Anna Brower at (801) 521-9862 ext. 100 or abrower@acluutah.org.

The Constitution grants the government its power and the Bill of Rights restricts that power and guarantees individual rights and liberties.
