Reinard joined the ACLU of Utah in December 2002. He spent his youth living and traveling around Malaysia (where he was born), South East Asia, and all over the United States. After an early career in restaurant management he became a full time organizer involved in a wide range of political, peace, social, and environmental issues.
In the 90's he moved to the Southwest to work with indigenous communities addressing environmental justice concerns around governmental and corporate nuclear weapons and waste projects . He came to Salt Lake City in 2001 and fell in love with Utah's land and people. In addition to working at the ACLU, Reinard tries to balance life as a community activist, husband, and a delighted father of a teenager.
