Governor Signs Law Ensuring Emergency Contraception for Victims of Sexual Assault
Posted 4/2/09 - Governor Huntsman signs H.B. 132, "Sexual Assault Victim Protocols," guaranteeing that victims of sexual assault may receive emergency contraception at hospital emergency rooms. In 2005, the ACLU of Utah helped conduct a survey and produce a report outlining current availability of emergency contraception for assault victims.
