On May 10th the ACLU of Utah will celebrate six decades of defending civil rights and liberties in courtrooms, on Capitol Hill, and in the community. We’re turning 60, so it’s a big deal!
Join the ACLU of Utah for a block party-style community celebration as we thank our members, friends, and supporters set to the tunes of local band Pixie & The Partygrass Boys.

This event is free and open to all friends and allies.
In addition to light appetizers and refreshments, there will be a cash bar and food trucks to purchase delicious hot meals.
We will honor an amazing of group of Utahns who have made a positive impact on civil liberties through their work and activism.

Torch of Freedom Award - for advancing civil liberties: The Pioneer Justice Center
Mickey Duncan Award - for excellence in civil liberties legal advocacy: Aaron Kinikini, Legal Director for the Disability Law Center
Youth Activist Scholarships - for protecting civil liberties in schools and communities.: Paola Cervantes, West High School; Fabiola Munoz Henriquez, East High School; Isaac Reese, Brighton High School; Abena Bakenra, West High School
