
The ACLU of Utah is excited to announce a new series of educational events in 2021 to promote the ACLU’s library of “Know Your Rights” guides and information for all Utahns. The first event will be Episode 1: "What To Do If You Are Stopped By Police," on Tuesday April 20 at 5:00 p.m. MDT
By partnering with local organizations and nonprofits, the “Love Your Rights” campaign will increase everyone’s knowledge and understanding about how to exercise fundamental rights like free speech, travel, and protest.
These one-hour special events will occur on the third Tuesday of April, June, August, and October and correspond to events and holidays, like Juneteenth and Indigenous People’s Day. The first event will take place on April 20 and will cover your rights will interacting with law enforcement

Know Your Rights pamphlets, created and updated by the ACLU of Utah, provide simple explanations on how all Utahns can exercise their Constitutional rights.
The topics covered by these guides range from "Your Right Protest," to “Your Right to Vote” to “What to Do If You Are Stopped by the Police,” as well as information specifically for students, teachers, immigrants, and our LGBTQ community.
