ACLU of Utah supporter,

If you've followed recent events in the local news, you know we've had a big year year for civil liberties victories! We have had some tremendous successes through our legal and legislative actions, including:

  • Convincing the Utah Department of Corrections to end constitutionally questionable visiting policies including the requirement that only English be spoken during visits and allowed only one unmarried person of the opposite sex on a prisoner's visitor list.
  • Challenging a Davis School District ban on a book about same sex families.
  • Working with legislators to pass a bill that limits the use of and data collected by Automatic License Plate Readers.

We thrive on your passion and involvement to protect civil liberties in Utah. Come to our Membership Meeting & Open House on Tuesday, August 6 at 5:30 p.m., to share the excitement and find out how you can become more involved!

This event is free and open to all ACLU members! If you aren't a member you can become a member online or join at the door. An RSVP is not required, but appreciated. Email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or call (801) 521-9862 ext. 101.

Enjoy complimentary snacks and drinks as you chat with ACLU of Utah staff, board members, and other like-minded civil libertarians. Learn about our priorities, strategies, and educational projects for the year ahead.

We hope to see you there!
