RSVP to applaud the role Utah is playing in bringing full marriage equality to the country.
Join Us At The Decision Day Rally!
On May 19, a federal judge ordered the state to recognize the marriages of same-sex couples who were legally married in Utah during the 16 days marriage equality was legal in our state.
It was an important step, but the decision was stayed. And now we wait for a ruling from the U.S. Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals on the constitutionality of Utah’s marriage ban.
It could come any day now. And it will likely be the first-ever marriage ruling at the federal appellate level. We need to be ready and we need to come together.
WHO: You, your family and friends!
WHERE: City Creek Park 110 N State St Salt Lake City, Utah 84103
WHEN: 7 PM on the day the 10th Circuit rules
This is a very big deal. Another win – this time at the Circuit Court level – gets us that much closer to the freedom to marry not just in Utah, but in the five other states served by that court. And whatever happens, this case is surely headed to the Supreme Court which means once and for all, we may see marriage equality for everyone in the country.
The entire country is looking to Utah to see how the Tenth Circuit Court will rule. Why spend this historic day alone when you can join us and hundreds of friends and allies at a Decision Day rally in Salt Lake City?
