Sara started her two-year Equal Justice Works Fellowship with the ACLU of Utah in September 2019 to focus on improving jail and prison conditions. After graduating from the University of Chicago in 2014, Sara served as an AmeriCorps VISTA in Salt Lake City. She received her law degree from Georgetown University Law Center in May 2019. While in law school, Sara returned to Salt Lake to intern at the ACLU of Utah. She also interned for the Electronic Privacy Information Center and the Brennan Center for Justice, in addition to working as a research assistant for the Georgetown Center on Privacy and Technology. Sara also dedicated herself to civil rights advocacy through her clinical work in law school.
