We invite Utahns to participate in our survey assessing the implementation of HB 257, commonly known as the “bathroom law.” This law passed during the 2024 Utah session and goes into effect on May 1, 2024. Your insights will help us understand how this law impacts students and schools across Utah.
HB 257 enforces outdated definitions, hindering opportunities and community integration. It disproportionately affects transgender students in schools, potentially subjecting them to isolation and discrimination by restricting restroom access based on birth-assigned sex.
