Cam Welburn (he/they) joined the ACLU of Utah as the Human Resource Manager in June 2021.
Cam is a SHRM Certified Human Resource Professional who is now working toward a Master’s of Science in Human Resource Management. After graduating from the University of Utah with a Bachelor’s Degree in Speech and Hearing Science and a Minor in Sociology, he worked with small companies and nonprofits to innovate company policy, patient practices, performance management, and leadership strategies. With over 5 years of experience building human resources infrastructure from the ground up, Cam is excited to continue to better the ACLU of Utah team through the lens of progressive HR practices.
Cam often volunteers with local community and LGBTQ+ organizations including Stonewall Sports and the Partnership for a New Phoebus.
During his spare time, Cam enjoys reading, gardening, and photography as well as outdoor sports like skiing, boating, and running. He and his partner are keen travelers with their favorite destinations being Paris, New York, and Spain.
