2023 was another monumental year in the fight for civil rights and individual freedoms. It was a year that saw a relentless assault on the rights of people in Utah, we were there to meet that challenge. We secured injunctions that blocked post-Dobbs abortion restrictions, ensured that local governments are not allowed to restrict free speech by banning drag performances, and defended the rights of transgender and non-binary Utahns.
Here are some of our highs from 2023:
- People Power: During the legislative session, 2.8K new action-takers joined our fight for civil rights and liberties in Utah— thanks to you!
- Impact Litigation: Our staff attorneys spent 6K+ hours defending civil liberties throughout the year.
- Digital Advocacy Boom: Your support led to a staggering 567.6% increase in subscribers to our SMS action alerts.
- Community Connections: Our Transgender Rights Strategist forged 20+ new partnerships with LGBTQ+ communities in Utah.
