—The U.S. Supreme Court's harmful decision permits states to ban athletes who are transgender from competing in sports, which includes the current laws in Utah.
The decision itself, however, does not require states to adopt these laws.
This means Utahns can utilize both the electoral and legislative processes to restore transgender athletes’ dignity and ability to participate in school-sponsored sports.
