Join our growing network of volunteers ready to mobilize when it matters most. Whether you’re helping at events, sharing your skills, or showing up for urgent action, we’ll reach out with ways you can make a difference.
Midterm elections are upon us, and the ACLU of Utah is taking action to uphold the integrity of the election and ensure every Utahn’s vote is counted.
As part of a nationwide effort, we are recruiting, training, and deploying as many nonpartisan Election Protection poll watchers as we can across the state—and we want you to join us! As a volunteer poll watcher, you will serve as voters' first line of defense against confusing voting rules, outdated infrastructure, misinformation, and needless obstacles to the ballot box. Responsibilities include:
Sign up now to be a nonpartisan poll watcher and stay connected to our updates via the Protect the Vote website (managed by partners at Common Cause).
Take the first step to protecting your rights—and those you care about—by learning about volunteering with the ACLU of Utah.
Because protecting your rights means protecting everyone’s, and we can’t do it without you.
That might mean helping at events, showing up for urgent actions, or using your skills to support our work behind the scenes. Sometimes, there will be many opportunities, and other times, we may go quiet. But when it’s time to mobilize, you’ll be the first to know.
Interested in volunteering with us? We're having our monthly virtual volunteer training program to continue the work ahead. Whether you're a new or returning volunteer, these trainings will give you the tools to speak confidently about our work and mobilize your fellow Utahns to support our efforts to protect everyone's rights.
Whether you’re showing up for the first time or are a seasoned organizer, ACLU National trainings offer tools to help you get started.
