As part of the continued wave of legislation targeting transgender people across the country, on January 30, 2024, Governor Spencer Cox signed House Bill 257 (“HB 257) into law. Parts of the the law took effect immediately, while parts relating to public school and governmental compliance will take effect on May 1, 2024.
