Make a voting plan and/or sign up as an Election Protection volunteer today!

Every eligible voter has the right to have their vote counted. That's why the ACLU of Utah and the Let Utah Vote coalition partner with the national Election Protection effort to recruit and train volunteers across the state of Utah. We equip volunteers to help voters navigate confusing rules, outdated systems, misinformation, and other barriers to voting.

We are asking you to join our 2024 Election Protection campaign. We’ll provide all the training and resources you need, along with a supportive community to help you along the way.

Volunteer roles include:

  • Poll Monitor: Assist voters in person, answer their questions, and connect those who have been turned away to legal resources.
  • Roving Poll Monitor: Use a checklist to drive (or bike!) to different polling locations to ensure everything runs smoothly, report any issues, and help solve problems.
  • Misinformation Monitor: Identify and address voting-related misinformation online or on social media and help direct voters to accurate resources.
  • Election Ambassador: Distribute yard signs and information at polling places.
