Bio

Ellie (she/her) joined the ACLU of Utah as the Legislative & Policy Counsel in December 2023.

Originally from Richmond, Virginia, Ellie earned her bachelor's degree in history and political science from George Washington University and her law degree from Duke University School of Law, where she completed a Public Interest and Public Service Law certificate.

Before attending law school, Ellie worked at Americans for the Arts as the Grassroots and Government Affairs Coordinator in Washington, DC. Before joining the ACLU of Utah, Ellie worked as a litigation associate at Simpson Thacher LLP and Perkins Coie LLP in New York.

Outside work, Ellie enjoys hiking, traveling, and visiting national parks with her husband, Mitchell, and two rescue dogs, Ollie and Daisy.
