I'm truly honored to receive the Mickey Duncan Award from the ACLU. I haven't always been where I am today on these issues—but when you take the time to listen and learn, it's hard not to be moved by what's at stake. At a time when vulnerable Utahns are being denied equal protection under the law, I believe we need more people willing to have honest conversations and stand up for what's right, even when it means rethinking long-held positions. I'm grateful to stand with the ACLU and with everyone committed to defending the rights of every person, especially when it matters most.
