Racial Justice

Differences in opportunity continue to negatively affect people of color, and discrimination against racial minorities often leads to dramatically unequal outcomes in a broad spectrum of areas including, education, employment, and even rates of incarceration. The ACLU of Utah aims to preserve and extend constitutionally guaranteed rights to people who have historically been denied their rights on the basis of race. The ACLU of Utah is committed to upholding racial equality and combating racism in all forms through litigation, community organizing and training, legislative initiatives, and public education.
